Privacy Statement
UBS Polybahn AG appreciates your visit to this website. Your privacy is important to us and we want you to feel comfortable visiting our site. We take care to protect the personal data we collect, process and use during your visit to the website. UBS AG, its subsidiaries and branches (“UBS Polybahn AG” or “we”) are committed to protecting the personal information that we collect from individuals who use the website.
This statement applies to any information you obtain during use of the Polybahn website. It does not apply to any websites controlled by third parties that the Polybahn website may link to (“Third-Party Sites”). Please review the privacy statements of Third-Party Sites as UBS Polybahn AG is not responsible for and has no influence over the content or the privacy practices of Third-Party Sites.
What information do we collect from you and for what purpose?
When you visit the UBS Polybahn AG website, our web server automatically records details about your visit (for example, your IP address, the website from which you visit us, the type of browser software used, including the date and the duration of your visit).
We will use your personal data:
- for the purposes of technical administration and to research and develop the UBS Polybahn AG website
- for client and user administration and marketing
- for such purposes as otherwise specified
How do we collect and store information about you?
UBS Polybahn AG uses tracking technology such as cookies or tags to gather information such as that outlined above to better understand how visitors use the Polybahn website.
“Cookies” are files that are stored on your end device when you visit our website. Several cookies are required for the UBS website to function and are deleted automatically following your visit. We use other cookies to save settings (e.g., language selection) for subsequent visits, to obtain anonymous statistics regarding website use and in order to customize website content (“retargeting”). We may also use cookies on partner websites in order to display advertisements that may be of interest to you and evaluate your response to them. However, this does not mean that the partner concerned receives any personal data concerning you.
Analyzing user behavior: We use web analytics tools on our website, e.g., Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC in the U.S. Google uses cookies to help the website analyze how users use the site. We do not provide Google with any of your personal data. Google collects information about your behavior on the UBS website and the end device (tablet, PC, smartphone, etc.) used for this purpose, e.g.:
- Details of your browser
- The website from which you accessed our website
- The name of your provider
- Your IP address
- The date and time you accessed the website
- Websites visited, duration of the visit.
This information is stored on a Google server in the U.S. However, if you have activated IP anonymization, your IP address will be truncated within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to the U.S. In the U.S., Google must comply with the Swiss-US and EU-US Privacy Shield. We receive analyses from Google based on this information. Google Analytics also makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to an anonymous user ID, meaning that a user’s activities can be analyzed across multiple devices anonymously. For more information, see Google’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. You can prevent the use of Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data by third-party providers.
In many cases you can also control tracking technologies using your browser. Adjust your browser settings to warn you about tracking technologies (such as cookies). The specific capabilities of your browser and instructions on how to use them can usually be found in the manual or help file for your browser. Refusing, disabling or deactivating tracking technologies may result in the reduced availability of the services provided by the UBS website.
Social plugins: The UBS Polybahn AG website uses social plugins, e.g., from YouTube. This allows buttons from the respective provider to be displayed, or content from the provider to be included on the website. When you view a website that uses a social plugin, your browser connects to the provider. The content of the social plugin is transmitted by the provider to your browser, which incorporates it into the website. This process allows the provider to obtain the following data:
- The fact that your browser has accessed the website concerned
- The IP address of the device used, even if you do not have an account with the provider.
If you are logged into your account with the provider, your visit can be assigned to your personal profile. Whenever you interact with a social plugin – for example, to give a “like” or leave a comment − the information will be transmitted by your browser to the provider and stored there. This information may also be published on the profile you have with the provider and may be visible to your contacts. For more information about how your data is processed, please refer to the provider’s Privacy Statement. If you do not want the provider to gather data about you via the UBS website, you must log out from the provider’s website before visiting the UBS Polybahn AG website. Even if you have logged out, providers can still gather anonymous data over social plugins which can be assigned to your profile if you log in at a later time. In such cases, the provider will process your data as a separate data controller and in accordance with their own Privacy Statement. If you want to prevent the provider from assigning data to your profile, you must delete your cookies. You can also completely prevent plugins from loading by installing add-ons for your browser.
How do we process information related to YouTube videos?
We have integrated components from YouTube into the UBS Polybahn AG website. YouTube allows users to publish all kinds of videos, making full movies and TV shows as well as music videos, trailers and self-made videos accessible via the web portal.
YouTube LLC in the US is a subsidiary of Google Inc. in the US. Whenever you access a page on the UBS Polybahn AG website with an integrated YouTube component (YouTube video), your browser is automatically prompted to download a version of the component from YouTube. YouTube and Google are also notified which subsite of the UBS Polybahn AG website you visited. See YouTube’s Privacy Statement for more information.
YouTube and Google receive information from the YouTube component that you visited the UBS Polybahn AG website if you are logged into YouTube at the time. This occurs regardless of whether you click on the YouTube video or not. You can prevent this information being transmitted to YouTube and Google by logging out of your YouTube account before accessing our website.
How do we process information related to Google Maps?
We use Google Maps to display maps. The integration assumes that Google can see a user’s IP address. The IP address is required in order to send content to the user’s browser. Please note that Google has a separate privacy policy unrelated to ours. You can read Google’s data protection regulations at www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/ before using our website. Google Maps uses a Java script code which you can deactivate by disabling Java script in your browser settings or by installing a Java script blocker. Please note that our website may not be displayed correctly.
Where can you find information about your personal data?
So long as the applicable laws and regulations allow this, you can:
- Ask if we store your personal data.
- Ask for a copy of your personal data
or instruct us to rectify any incorrect information.
If you have any questions about the processing of your personal data, please send an email to: info@polybahn.ch.
