What information do we collect and for what purpose?

When you visit the UBS Polybahn AG website, the webserver automatically records details of your visit (for example, your IP address, the website from which you visit us, and the type of browser software used including the date and duration of your visit.

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • for purposes of technical administration as well as research and development of the UBS Polybahn AG website

How do we collect and store information about you?

How do we process information related to the operation of UBS Polybahn?

All personal data related to the transport services provided by UBS Polybahn AG, such as ticket purchases, subscriptions, and related services/products, are subject to the privacy policy of the Zurich Public Transport Authority (VBZ). The VBZ is the public transport authority of Zurich and operates these services on behalf of UBS Polybahn AG. How do we process information related to YouTube videos?

We have integrated components of YouTube into the UBS Polybahn AG website. YouTube allows the publication of all kinds of videos, so that complete movies and TV shows, as well as music videos, trailers, and user-generated videos can be accessed via the internet portal.

YouTube, LLC in the USA is a subsidiary of Google Inc. in the USA. When you access a site of the UBS Polybahn AG website on which a YouTube component (YouTube video) has been integrated, this YouTube component automatically causes your browser to download a version of this YouTube component from YouTube. In the course of this technical procedure, YouTube and Google are informed about which specific sub-site of the UBS Polybahn AG website you have visited. More information about YouTube can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy.

YouTube and Google receive information from the YouTube component that you have visited the UBS Polybahn AG website, if you are logged in to YouTube at the time of calling up the website; this occurs regardless of whether you click on a YouTube video or not. If you do not want this information to be transmitted to YouTube and Google in this way, you can prevent the transmission of this information by logging out of your YouTube account before calling up our website.

How do we process information related to Google Maps?

We use Google Maps to display maps. The integration requires that Google can perceive the IP address of the users. The IP address is necessary to send the content to the user’s browser. We point out that Google has its own privacy policies, which are independent of ours. Please inform yourself about Google’s privacy policies before using our website at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. Google Maps is based on a Java-Script code, so you can prevent the execution altogether by disabling Java-Script in the settings of your browser or installing a Java-Script blocker. Please note that our website may not be displayed correctly then.

How do we protect personal data?

UBS Polybahn AG has taken appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data collected via UBS Polybahn AG websites from unauthorized, accidental, or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, misuse, disclosure, or access, as well as from all other unlawful forms of processing.

All employees who have access to personal data must comply with internal rules and processes regarding the processing of your personal data to protect it and ensure its confidentiality. In particular, we limit access to personal data about you to employees, but also to agents or other parties who need to know the information to provide services to you.

To whom do we disclose your data collected from UBS websites?

UBS Polybahn AG may share your data with its affiliates and their agents and third-party providers inside or outside of your country of residence to provide services for UBS Polybahn AG and for the purposes mentioned above. Our affiliated companies, agents, and third-party providers who have access to personal data obtained via UBS Polybahn AG websites are required to respect your privacy, comply with legal obligations and contractual guarantees. In the international transfer of personal data, we ensure that we comply with applicable laws and regulations, e.g., by concluding agreements that ensure that the recipients of your data maintain an adequate level of data protection. How do we handle information from individuals under 18 years of age?

UBS Polybahn AG websites are not intended to collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18.

Children should obtain the consent of their parents or guardians according to the age limit set by each country (which, for example, in the EU can range from 13 to 16 years depending on the member state).

Where can you obtain information about your personal data or review it?

Where applicable laws and regulations permit, you can:
